I recently stayed at Hill Safari in Ohiya for a few days and it was absolutely amazing. The location of the hotel is remote, but the view and tranquility are well worth it. The wifi was surprisingly excellent, especially considering how secluded the hotel is. I loved exploring the hiking trails through the nearby tea plantations and the proximity to Horton's Plain was a huge bonus. The owner even arranged for a Tuk tuk to take us there as a group. The 2nd-floor balcony room had the best view, but the other rooms were also lovely. The food for dinner was delicious, with traditional Sri Lankan cuisine, although breakfast wasn't the best. They did pack us a breakfast for our hike, but it wasn't very satisfying. The bathroom could use some maintenance, but overall, it was still functional.

I recently had an amazing stay at a tea plantation lodge in a breathtaking location near Horton Plains. the hosts were lovely and made me feel right at home. the winding roads and towering trees on the drive to the accommodation added to the charm. the Sri Lankan curry they prepared for dinner was delicious, and they went above and beyond to help me arrange transportation to Horton Plains and my next destination. the cozy sitting/dining room and spacious bedroom with comfortable beds made me feel truly relaxed. With pleasant walks through the woods and tea plantations nearby, it was a perfect getaway. Cons: Couldn't fault 👌🏼.

The views from the lodge were absolutely breathtaking, especially as you approach the property. the drive to the lodge was an adventure in itself, with stunning scenery along the way. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful information about the area and suggesting activities to do. the food, although simple, was delicious and satisfying.
The room we stayed in was quite basic and lacked a view. It would have been nice to have a room with a view, especially considering the beautiful surroundings of the property.
